| Little Owl Pre-school A typical session
The session starts with free play where the children are able to explore a wide variety of play equipment, including a climbing frame, dressing-up clothes, home corner, games, painting and drawing. At 10:15am the children are given a drink of milk or water and some fruit. Around 10:30am the children take part in closely supervised play which involves creative art, educational games, outdoor play, stories, role-playing games etc. At about 11:20am, the children will sit down to talk about various subjects such as the current weather, days and dates and the current topic of the week. Then the session ends with dancing, singing, playing musical instruments and listening to stories. Weather permitting, the children will be able to go outside and play with tricycles and other outdoor equipment. What your child should bring Please provide a shoe bag with soft-soled shows for play indoors (ideally plimsolls or slippers), a protective gown for painting, a hand towel, a change of clothes (in case of accidents) nappies and wipes if necessary. All these items must be labelled with your childs name. Additional Information Please let us know if anyone unknown to us is going to be collecting your child at the end of the morning and also if your child is going to be absent due to an infectious illness as Surrey County Council requires us to keep a health record for each child. | |
